MIT-World Peace University (MIT-WPU) is a culmination of a Vision to re-establish India’s position as a ‘Vishwa Guru’, which means ‘The Teacher of the World’.MIT-WPU draws inspiration from original and highly ranked Indian Education Practices as followed by ‘Takshashila’- the World’s First Global University and endeavors to set new benchmarks in the field of Global Education. The foundation of this was laid way back in 1983 as ‘The MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions’ which practiced imparting true values along with knowledge for 4 decades. This legacy is now continued by MIT-WPU which was honored with a State University status in 2017- established under Govt. of Maharashtra Act No. XXXV 2017 and recognized by UGC.Being the seat of Academic Knowledge, Research, Technology, Social & National Initiatives and Peace Studies, our curriculum emphasizes on sensitizing the youth about the human dimensions of not just professional pursuits but life itself. World’s renowned Scientists, Researchers, Scholars, Academicians, and Successful Entrepreneurs are associated with MIT-WPU since its inception to enhance the educational discourse through modern academic frameworks.
